About FeralCare

FeralCare founders have more than a decade of experience in aiding feral cat colonies. Our non-profit, all-volunteer organization formed in response to the dramatic rise in the stray and feral cat population throughout Connecticut. This population explosion has resulted in the malnutrition and death of countless animals, as well as a substantial increase in the number of cats and kittens requiring care and adoption. Our Board of Directors is comprised of professionals representing the fields of Urban Revitalization, Animal Rescue, Veterinary Medicine, Community Advocacy, and Communications, who are in turn supported by a strong core of volunteers.

FeralCare volunteers work with communities to implement T/N/R solutions. Trap-Neuter-Return (T/N/R) is the nationally recognized compassionate solution to feline overpopulation. The cats are spayed or neutered at our monthly clinics (or individually as needed), vaccinated, treated for fleas and mites, ear-tipped and released back into their colonies. Over 2,000 cats have been spayed/neutered at our clinics since 2007.

We serve as a community resource for feral cats of Fairfield County and beyond. Whether you're feeding one feral cat or managing multiple colonies, we can help you.
