Community Services & Programs
We rely on donations of time, financial support and in-kind materials and services from volunteers and caring community members, groups and organizations.

• Feral Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, & Release Programs
Feral T/N/R is the most humane and nationally accepted way to handle feral cat colonies. With T/N/R, cats are trapped, altered, vaccinated and returned to the area from which they came. We provide information and guidelines for trapping, which is available at our clinics and fundraising events, and will soon be available for download.

Trap Rental
Individuals may rent a trap for a week for $5, with a $50 deposit. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the trap. If you are a FeralCare volunteer the rent is waived as long as we have volunteer information on file.

• Foster & Adoption Network for Kittens & Socialized Cats
Adoption event
We provide contacts and information on area rescue groups who provide foster care for adoptable cats. A list of Connecticut foster groups and related organizations is available in our National Programs section.

We do not provide fostering services. As foster homes and rescue groups are often filled to capacity - especially during late Spring and Summer - we would recommend that you advertise cats up for adoption at local veterinarians and pet-friendly businesses.
